Setup & commands

Everything you need to connect a Farming Simulator 25 dedicated server to your Discord, plus a reference for all 44 commands.

Step by step

Setting up

  1. Invite Farmalytics Add the bot to your Discord. You will need Manage Server on the Discord you are adding it to. The invite asks for six permissions and no more:
    • View Channels and Send Messages so it can post at all.
    • Embed Links and Attach Files because every report is an embed, and the field map is a PNG.
    • Read Message History so it can find and edit its own status panel instead of posting a new one each time.
    • Use External Emojis for the crop and status icons, which live in the Farmalytics support server.
    • Mention Everyone only so YouTube announcements can ping @everyone if you choose that as the ping role. The bot pings nothing unless you configure it to.
It does not ask for Administrator or Manage Messages.
  2. Install FSConnect on your game server Farmalytics works without it, but most reports need the data it exports. See the download page.
  3. Find your stats-feed URL Farming Simulator dedicated servers publish a small status page. In your game server's web manager, copy the dedicated server stats XML link. It contains a code= value, and anyone holding that link can read your server's status, so treat it like a password.
  4. Run /setup-server in Discord Paste that stats URL, plus the FTP host, username and password for the same game server. Farmalytics finds the mod's data folder itself, and your FTP password is encrypted before it is stored.
  5. Choose your Discord channels /manage-server sets where the status panel and notifications are posted. /set-alerts-channel and /set-bot-channel move farm alerts and bot notices into channels of their own, if you would rather keep them apart.
  6. Optional: claim a live map address /map-setup publishes a live map of your farm at farmalytics.co/map/your-name, which you can share with anyone.
Why does it need FTP as well as the stats URL? The stats feed only says who is online and which map is loaded. Everything else — fields, herds, finances, contracts, vehicle positions — comes from files FSConnect writes onto your game server's own disk, and FTP is how Farmalytics reads them.
